Board of Directors
Alfred Baghouzian is Vice President of Emerging Mobile Technologies & Solutions in the Technology Strategy team, at TELUS Communications. In his role, Alfred is responsible for TELUS’ Mobile Device & Application platform leadership, as well as various TELUS transformational initiatives such as mHealth, mCommerce, mIdentity, Alternative Global Connectivity and Internet of Things. From 2000-2003, Alfred served as a member of Hamazkayin Sanahin Chapter’s Executive in Montreal. On the ARS School Board, Alfred currently serves as the liaison to the Fundraising and Information Technology Committees. Alfred has a son and a daughter attending the school.
Alfred graduated from Moorat-Raphael Mekhitarian College in Venice, Italy and has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering specialized in Telecommunications, from École Polytechnique of University of Montreal. He is a Professional Engineer, member of the “Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec”. Alfred has held numerous leadership roles and currently member of Institute of Corporate Directors and member of ATIS’ Board of Directors and part of the ATIS Executive Committee.
Taline Moushian | 1986
Taline is a full-time professor at Seneca College where she teaches various courses such as Environmental Science, The Science of Evolution and The Human Body. For the past 3 years, she was a member of the School’s Telethon Committee. On the ARS School Board, Taline currently services as the liaison to the Telethon Committee. Taline has 2 children in grades 4 and S.K. currently attending the school.
Taline graduated from ARS Kololian Elementary in 1986, a member of the school’s first Grade 8 graduating class. She continued her education in the sciences, earning an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and then completing her Master of Science in 1999 from the University of Calgary.
Stepan taught Mathematics in several public schools from 1976 – 2003, and became Assistant Head of the Mathematics Department for seven years before his retirement in 2003. In September 2003 he was offered a position as a mathematics teacher at the newly established ARS Secondary School for Grades 9 – 11, and in the following year given the task of developing and teaching the three mathematics courses for the newly established 12th grade. Stepan retired from the teaching profession in 2005. Stepan has been an active member of the community and has served on the ACC executive committee for several years.
Stephan has a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Aston Technology College in the UK, a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Mathematics from the Simon Fraser University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from York University.
Daron Keskinian | 2006
Daron is a senior business strategy consultant with Accenture Strategy. Daron is an active member of the community and has served on several boards and executives. He is currently serving as Director of Communications for the Sara Corning Centre for Genocide Education. On the ARS School Board, Daron currently serves as the Treasurer and lead of the Budget Committee.
Daron graduated from ARS Secondary School in 2006 as a member of the school’s second Grade 12 graduating class. Daron has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management.
Sevag is a Principal of PMX Inc., a professional project management firm, with experience in the fields of project management, risk management, and cost control. Sevag previously served as Treasurer of the Board from 2001-2002. On the ARS School Board, Sevag currently serves as the Chair. Sevag has two daughters attending the school.
Sevag has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the American University of Beirut and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy from Concordia University in Montreal. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and is a LEED® Accredited Professional (LEED® AP).
Hasmig Shahinian is an intermediate teacher in the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Hasmig has worked on many committees and organizations within the Armenian Community, her most active role has been in the Homenetmen Scouting ranks. She has also served on the ARS School Board for several years since 2010. On the ARS School Board, Hasmig currently leads the Nursery revitalization and renovation efforts and is also the liaison to the Parents’ Committee. Hasmig has two daughters, her eldest attending the ARS Nursery’s Poghpoch class.
Hasmig is a past student of ARS Babayan Kindergarten and Kololian Elementary school. She has received a B.Ed (Kinesiology) from McGill University, a Bachelor of Education from York University and a Master of Education from the University of Toronto.
